My Review:
I got this book for free, in exchange for my honest opinion via NetGalley.
Glow Up: A Teen's Guide to Flipping the Script, will at first draw you in with it's eye catching cover. But this isn't a book just for teens, it's for women of all ages. Brittany Estes discusses the fear and the chances of failure. Through a Christian perspective, she gives tools for turning these negative thoughts into moments of growth. Brittany has written a book that is extremely relatable, and she entwines scripture into her chapters. This book is fantastic for any girl, young woman, or woman looking to work on confidence that comes from a faith centered point of view.
As I stated above, the cover caught my eye, and that plus the synopsis was the reason I wanted to read it. This was my first ever Brittany Estes book, and it certainly won't be the last. I now follow Brittany on all socials so I don't miss anything. Also, I mean, you can't go wrong when the author quotes "Dumb and Dumber." This was a wonderful and relatable read. I learned a lot and took a lot of notes. It's a light read, but don't let that fool you. This is an inspiring read and is definitely worth checking it out. You won't regret it!
Thank you, NetGalley and Brittany Estes for allowing me to review! As always, my review is my own opinion and thoughts. This review will be shared to my Instagram @what_emm_reads shortly.
